To people who weren't American kids growing up in the 90's, Legends of the Hidden Temple was a super fun game show with a jungle theme. Lots of fun challenges, teamwork, great stuff.

In the final challenge the kids have to go through this huge obstacle course under a time limit and they win a console or something, I don't remember. A truck maybe. And they were zooming along, jumping over temple guards and solving puzzles like underage bosses...

... until they got to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.

I don't know what it was about this room, but everyone dropped about 15 IQ points upon entering it. It's easy: there's a monkey statue in three parts. Put the parts together. End of challenge. Move to the next room.

Almost nobody got it right.

My favorite thing about this room was how the host was giving clear instructions to the little shits and he would eventually piss himself laughing over how stupid they were. I bet he loved his job.

I can't blame those kids for failing this.  I blame those blasted Temple Guards, hiding and scaring the crap out them. Probably made them tremble in fear.
