Hi there! I got some updates on the projects for you all!
1. I've been working the red-eye shifts this week so I'm exhausted when I get home and sleep in past 10 as a result, not giving me much time for drawing. Thus, crappy output for this week. Sorry bros.
2. Yes, I missed yesterday's UBC No excuses, actually.
3. This Sunday will be the next live stream for my Patreon bros! This week we'll be making a UBC live! You guys choose the cover from my collection and I build a comic RIGHT BEFORE YOUR BEADY LITTLE EYES!! BE THERE OR BE NOT THERE!!
4. I've been hired by a writer on DA to illustrate his 22 page comic for an anthology! I feel bad for the slow start on it (red-eye shift and all) but its cute and fun and will be a great addition to my resume.
Career tip for the day from someone who is just barely crawling in that direction:
Ever since the Cracked article was published I've seen double the traffic to my DA account and 3X the Patreon subscribers!!
How did I get the interview in the first place? Easy: I asked. I noticed that Cracked was looking for people from weird ends of the world for interviews and I sent and email describing my own. They chose mine along with many others as a result.
How did I get the 22 page comic job? I applied for it.
How did I get Brad Jones's permission to have 80's Dan as a popular TV show in Serious Engineering? I sent a polite email asking for it.
People don't "get discovered" any more often than they win the lottery. If you want attention, you need to throw ALL of the bottles into the ocean and not give up. You need to listen to your critics and fans, respond to them, work hard to make your work better (no one is at their height - there is always room for improvement), follow the trends, update your shit as often as you can (daily is best), and NEVER EVER EVER GIVE UP.
This also means putting up with a lot of disappointment, too. Brad Jones didn't have to respond to my email. He did because he's super cool and smart when it comes to free publicity. Most people I've asked permission to have told me no or didn't respond to me at all. This includes offers to do guest comics.
So far only KC Green accepted my humble contribution back when he was still doing Droop years and years ago. Everyone else either ignored me or told me outright that my work wasn't their cup of tea. And you know what? THAT'S FINE! Not everybody has to accept your offers and that does NOT make them bad people!
The vast majority of the legwork and exposure is up to you. Sometimes we need friends to help us out, like I did with my lovely and wonderful VikJones , the wickedly cool BloodyWilliam , and my official avatar distributor Valiuum (check all of their work out they are FUCKIN' SWEET!!), and that's awesome for everyone involved. Just don't forget to be a good friend and thank them!
Just keep at it, don't give up, be a cool bro to your friends and critics, and remember that you and your work are important to making the world a better place. REMEMBER! "If only the most beautiful birds were allowed to sing, then all the forests would be silent." (I have no fucking idea who said this first lol)
Peace!

Forever Song - Hierarchy revamp
Hello everyone. So we're revamping Hierarchy with an easier style and more coherent story, but keeping the general vibe/plot/characters. The changes will make the narrative much, much tighter. The new revamp is called "Forever Song". The comic will be hosted here on comic fury, deviant art, and on patreon with links below. We apologize for the confusion. This is just how the creative process goes. We're much more confident about this version of the story and we hope you will enjoy it. With love and gratitude, Roman and Vik jones
AMAZING FAN VID BY HANNEKE!!
Our awesome fan Hanneke creates sheets for music boxes, which is the coolest thing I've heard in forever. She made a wicked fantastic one especially for Hierarchy and made this video and WE ARE SO HAPPY AND HONORED THANK YOU HANNEKE!!!
